TRR & Fairpros Messe Dusseldorf article

So a little over two years ago (wow time flies) TRR launched the new Fairpros website. The sites brief was to allow the client to quickly and easily manage the various trade shows and display business opportunities to various African bushiness. 4 months later the Fairpros site was doing so well that the Messe Dusseldorf magazine did an article on them.

TRR had quite a spotlight in the article discussing the OpenSource CMS and special features developed for Fairpros. Unfortunately they called us “The Roobiks Room” but we love them just the same :P

Now we are aware that there is a slim possibility that you, like us, are not fluent in German. If so, you will have to trust us with this highly condensed summary.

The article starts by highlighting Africa’s position when it comes to Internet connectivity, the challenges faced by African countries with regards to embracing technology and their need to diversify economies largely based on raw materials and natural resources. The expansion of Fairpros Trade Fairs into Africa, however, signifies a growing view of Africa as a growing economy with vast potential. After this short exploration into Trade Fairs in Africa, it comes to TRR (or the Roobik’s Room). It introduces Ruark Ferreira and Justin R. Melville, the TRR founding partners, and their areas of expertise. From here it details the basics of the site, the success of the design, the efficacy of the SEO and the simplicity of the CMS. It makes particular mention of the site’s adherence to world class standards and use of open source software, all with great success. Needless to say, we were very pleased that they were pleased.
